Craftsmanship of Adras
The cotton fabrics used in Lanvo kaftans are woven by generations of skilled artisans in Uzbekistan, each piece undergoing twelve meticulous steps—all by hand. This process sets Lanvo’s adras apart from mass-produced fabrics.
Due to this artisanal approach, some fabric details may exhibit unique characteristics, such as:
- Colour Variations: Threads are dyed by hand in natural pigments, derived from flowers, seeds, charcoal, or tree roots, in traditional cauldrons, creating subtle colour shifts.
- Densely Woven Threads: Occasionally, you may find thicker threads resembling tiny catches, as each knot is carefully twisted by hand.
Given the handmade dyeing process, please try to avoid contact with rain, seawater, or other substances to prevent potential staining.
